GSS Locals 056 and 057 look forward to bargaining monetary package in April.
Locals 056 and 057 concluded their second week of bargaining, signing off with the employer on seven non-monetary articles and gaining agreements in principle on two more significant, non-monetary articles."We have made excellent progress over the last two weeks. We're close tocompleting all non-monetary language," said AUPE Staff Negotiator.
Articles agreed to in principle include hours of work (Article 14) and layoff and recall (Article 33). All Letters of Understanding have been discussed for Renewal, Deletion, and/or amendment.
"The union expects the employer to bring their full monetary package to the table at our next meetings, from April 15 to April 18," McNaughton said.
